How do you pay when you're shopping?
Just wondering how do you pay when you're shopping?
I am like always at the mall and usually I use cash at first and keep seeing stuff I like, then go and use my debit card..
I don't have a credit card because I know I'd go over my limit very fast and go into debt.
I hardly see anyone paying with cash anymore though where I shop. How do you pay usually?

We have been *trying* to only use cash for everything except gas. It doesn't always work that way, though, because sometimes my husband forgets to tell me he needs more cash (I keep it, or he would spend it all at once! lol He only gets paid 2x times a month, so what we get out has to last for a little over 2 weeks). If he forgets, he usually just uses the debit card, unless it's something that is offering extra cash back on our credit card that quarter.

I very rarely carry cash.I go through it to quick and forget where I spend it.Usually I use my bank card.Normally I have no more then 5.00 in cash on me at a time truthfully. I also get a lot of gift cards from instant win games and survey payments. So, I use gift cards and amazon gift certificates for online shopping. I also like using my bank card since I track everything online. Our bank calculates what area's most your spending is going for as well and overall how much you spent.I like being able to see what I'm doing and know exactly where it went.

I always use my credit card and earn points that way. I am very careful about how much I spend though, and keep all of my receipts and frequently check my statement online.

We use credit cards to pay for almost everything. However, we pay our entire credit card bill each month, so it's really more like a bank card. I like using it because it provides a little extra insurance on products and we get a small amount of cash back credited to our bill each month.

cash or debit
we tried that pay off teh credit card thing and it backfired. the company held the payments. PLus we found out it was a bank in india thatheld the original and a bank in teh US unwrote them. they even charged me to convert american money to indian rupees......
so that was my last credit card........
now we use strictly cash or our debit cards. If they dont take green or plastic..we dont shop there

The credit cards make it so very tempting to buy a little more than I should. I'm trying hard not to spend as much money.

I use my credit card.
It is more hassle free because I won't bring bulky cash to the mall.

I always use my debit card. I have credit cards that are paid off and I don't want to start again but my friend gave me an idea. She uses her credit card to pay for gas and then just pay off the balance each month. I think I'm going to start doing that, that way my credit cards still have activity and earn points for me. I just have to make sure I pay the balance in full each month coz I want to stay debt-free.

I always used credit cards in the past because I built up sky miles but I am trying my hardest to use debit only lately. At the end of the month I like not having to worry about which credit cards I have to pay and forgetting to pay them. Its a bit liberating for a person who was always bound by credit cards.

Credit card online...
I like using my credit card online because of identity theft and fraud protection. I once had a bad experience with my bank card, so I prefer using a credit card where you can report suspicious activity and not be be penalized for it. Ladies, if you do ANY online shopping, I would make sure you apply for a such a credit card. All the companies are furiously vying for consumers' attention, so get one that will keep you safe.
Otherwise, a bank/debit card is how I get through the day. Cash is so easy to go through, don't you think? TOO easy for my taste.

I am a bank card junky! I almost never carry cash anymore - if I have it, the most will be $30.
Online I use my ccs simply for more protection.

Some cash, some with credit. So that it doesn't look like a bag costs that much on the credit card bill.

It depends on where I'm shopping and if there is a chance I might return the item(s). When I grocery shop I use cash because I have a budget I stay in. Cloths, shoes, hangbags ect get paid for with debit or credit card.

I tend to pay with credit cards as much as possible so I can rack up some airline miles. Further, I'd rather have someone fraud ** credit than ** actual bank account.

We pay with credit card just to get points/rewards, then we pay it off at the end of the month.
