Default Do you feel the Gas pinch

I have been watchingteh news and theya re expecting gas to be 4 dollars agllon by summer, here in TN. I know its above that alraedy in other parts of the US. HAve you found that you are cutting back on other essentials to afford the fuel?
My husbnand and I are merchandisers with routes and we run about 120 miles round trip a day, three days a week.
we go through 350-400 dollars a month or more on fuel.
and our drive time rate was just reduced.
While the company doesnt see it as abig deal havinga reduction in pay, we see it as a major loss in outlay and no way to recoup even in taxes............

has anyone else out there found a major pinch?

I haven't felt it yet because I don't really drive that much. I got through maybe one gallon every month. I guess I'm lucky that I can walk almost every where I need to go.

Hi everyone!

I don't know if you have any ideas how much costs a gallon in France or the UK but it's over $8.40.
Fuel in america is SO cheap!!
It's time to buy more economic cars guys! Forget about V8 engines.

Here in China it costs a bit cheaper than in the US and people think it's expensive.
For my part I don't waste any money in fuel as I ride a bike, use buses/tubes/cabs.

Anyway good luck with that and hope your economy will be healthy again soon.

It takes us about $50 to fill up our Explorer and we fill up about 4 times a week sometimes more depending on if my hubby takes it or not.

Heck yes! The prices went up last night. It just means that I'm going to be driving less the next couple months.

The bad news is that it's never gonna go down, it's just going to keep rising from here.

What I do is read books, articles on frugality, saving money, investing, etc. so we can stay afloat during the recession. Even with 2 kids and me not working while my husband works freelance (doesn't have a regular employer) we are still making it. Just spend less than you earn, use coupons, and don't pay full price for anything (except gas of course).

I'm feeling it bigtime. I am trying to work from home to avoid driving as much as possible. It is getting out of control.

I drive a Prius as well. My gas bill is only $60 dollars a month. So gas prices are not an issue for me.

The other day I was at the gas station putting gas in my car and whistling a tune. They guy filling up his V8 truck next to me told me to shut up!

I don’t understand why I am still seeing big trucks out there today that are brand new. Are people crazy?

Anyway…here in San Diego I think gas is now $4.80 a gallon.

I definitely think everyone does. It's interesting to see more and more drivers here in LA occupying the slow lanes and attempting to stay under 60.

Gas prices are way out of hand. It's funny how it fluctuates. Airlines are increasing their prices too but when the gas price go down the airline price stay up. I don't get that? Sigh
