That is what my ex-boyfriend used to say. He never cooked and always at out (terrible diet) and loved it when I would cook for him. Unfortunately, I think he missed my meals more than he missed me when we broke up.

We eat out alot and it can be cheaper than eating at home if you eat at places that offer discounts or coupons. However, there are those times where you just want a nice home cooked meal.

I've been on the road for 30 yrs...never learned to cook. I can grill, do salads, basics. I don't even mind the clean-up. Handling the raw food, drives me crazy. Sometimes it's nice to go out and be waited on...for a change. Have a drink, relax. Does something for the soul.

It is sooo much cheaper and more healthy to cook at home. We eat out usually one meal a week - usually lunch. Other than that I do all of the cooking and pride myself on making thrifty, tasty, and (semi) healthy meals. I don't spend more than an hour on any meal - and that usually includes bake time, if there is any.

The healthy options at fast food type places are usually a joke anyway. I'd much rather feed my family a home cooked meal where I know exactly what the ingredients are.

it will look cheaper but somehow it can be deceiving, because from the groceries you bought, you can use only part of it, just good for one meal and cook the other later. hope I am making sense here.

It depends on what you eat out. For me, cooking is cheaper because when I dine out I like meals that are $13-30 for one person.

Umm heck no it isn't you have to think about it. I mean when you cook dinner, most of the time you have left overs. Other times when you eat out, you have nothing left. I think it's more costly to eat out.

I have to agree with you! I am a newlywed and am trying to learn how to cook. Of course I need to buy things that the recipe calls for and I don't have! It gets crazy expensive- I often think its cheaper to go out!

I think fast food, is our down fall.I think it helps us to become unhealthy and sluggish. I think we should invest more money into our healthier foods.

Well that's my rationale anyways. I eat take out food all the time lol
Ok when you say it like that, I guess you have a point is some way. But don't you want to have a home cooked meal of some kind every once in a while?

I agree with you on that one.It is more healthier to actually cook your own meals. Stop being lazy folks, laziness will get you killed.
