New York Fashion Week Runway Report: Narciso Rodriguez
By: Erin D.

Color, schmolor.
Narciso Rodriguez - a designer who has never been accused of being over-the-top, wacky, or fussy - stuck to a palette of austere white, black, and gray (with a few bolts of blue) for his
New York fall ready-to-wear show. True to Rodriguez’ less-is-more style, the outfits were simple but well-constructed and beautiful. Rodriguez has a way of appealing to the everywoman: Black pants were slim but didn’t threaten to cut off circulation; coats came in every which style imaginable; and the dresses were sheer perfection - sans flash but sexy in a not-trying-too-hard way. Most dresses bore pockets, one of the season’s big trends. In terms of creating gorgeous, wearable clothing, nobody does it better.
