New York Fashion Week Runway Report: Alice Roi
By: Erin D.
Alice Roi’s New York fall show started with an unflattering, deconstructed look, but things soon became more promising.
Sweater dresses, men’s-style
trousers with
sweet white blouses, and very wearable sleeveless
turtleneck dresses stole the show. Highwaisted
plaid skirts made an appearance, as did men’s
black trouser socks. Austere is probably the best way to describe the collection as a whole, but Roi did a nice job of balancing men’s style influences with a feminine outlook.
