Am I the only one who has heard scary rumors about the knockoff handbag industry exploiting slave labor/child labor/sweatshop labor? I've also heard rumors about the knockoff handbag industry fueling illegal gun trade?
Does anyone know if there is any credibility to these rumors?
Yes child labor is used to create some knockoff handbags, but not all. Especially the high quality knockoff bags are made by someone other then children. It also depends on the country they are coming from as well.
I will never ever buy knockoffs baised on 1 thing... You will never know where that money is going or where that bag came from! Who knows what you could be supporting by buying one of those bags.

me too! ive seen a lot of the documentaries on CNN..it's sad really...the money from the diamonds is used to fund the purchase of illegal arms...the miners are dying of hunger...
