Vivienne Tam, as a designer is always wonderful to watch, and probably the designer I buy the most of. She takes Asian inspiration and works it into her collection in modern and innovative ways. Her pieces don’t look cliche like many designers who use themes of the Orient. Her approach is to take motifs, techniques or silhouettes and then re-works them into different fabrics, shapes or colors. In this Vivienne Tam Fall 2007 Collection in New York, you will see the maze-like motif as a cut-out technique. Cloud patterns as an embroidery. Mandarin collar shapes re-worked into necklines for coats and dresses. All with contemporary colors and cozy wools.

I really like the 1st dress looks comfortable

i think the dresses are all very asian inspired..very classic but i think the young crowd wouldnt patronize this collection much...
