Default Purse Cleaning

I would like to announce a newly created blog discussing purse and handbag cleaning. I will be discussing the proper care and servicing of handbags and purses.

I am the owner of Margaret's Cleaners located in La Jolla California. We have been cleaning and servicing purses for a number of years now and have amassed much expertise on the subject. In the blog I will be showing some before and after photographs as well as hoping to answer many of your questions.

I look forward to being of assistance. Chuck

Hi Chuck

Welcome to the board. That's a great service you offer, and it'll be nice to have someone available to answer bag cleaning questions.
Btw I live right next to you in PB, howdy neighbor.

Anyone tht lives in Chicago or in the Suburbs, there is a great luggage repair in Naperville that will clean or repair anything! I broke a wheel on my LV suitcase and they were able to fix it within a few days (the LV store wanted to ship it out). Also for self cleaning Coach sig C or satin bags you can use Shout whipes! Im sure you could use them on Prada Satin or Kate Spade Satin also!

Thanks for the tip. I'm looking at possibly purchasing the White Optic Signature Large Carryall and I worry about it getting dirty. Thanks again!

Bagcrazy - I just took a look at the bag you're planning to buy...it is GORGEOUS! I saw someone at the factory store carrying a smaller white optic bag with the white leather trim and it looked fabulous. Everyone turned their heads to admire it and to ask her about it. The one you're getting is larger and has really extraordinary details - the braid, tassel and gold clip. Ooh la la! Tell us how it works out for you, k?

just be sure to be extra cautious with the white... It seems to find dirt and pick it up! Best Wishes! Happy Coaching!

I have the same bag as the Optic Signature that is white pebbled leather (which I haven't used yet). I worry about the fabric so I'm not sure if I'll get the Optic or just stick with the leather one (which also has the tassel and gold hardware, the strap is flat instead of being braided).

I would go with the leather. That whit satin just attracts dirt!

Thanks. I think that's what I'm going to do, is stick with the leather.

Thanks for posting that - I'm very impressed with the results in some of those photos - I would never have thought some of those purses salvageable!
