You're not cheap - you are a good bargin shopper! I love my Coach bags, but I know I could get several items for what one bag costs, so I bargin shop for everything else. We went to Old Navy tonight too, bought a henley shirt for myself and a long sleeve layered polo type shirt for my daugher and spent $12.00! The key is: you don't have to spend a lot of money to look like you did! Happy shopping!

I think as long as the quality is there, and it suits your style, it doesn't matter what the brand is.

I have a few key brand name items, and I accessorise with a lot of nice, but cheaper items. I have a few buys I regret - like the little tote bag that fell to pieces after only two days use, but most of the time I'm happy with my purchases.

i would spend the extra $$ and get the coach thing, because you are paying for quality. try the outlets because around holidays they have GREAT prices.

Batgirl - are there extra discounts at the Coach factory store on holidays other than in December??? Like maybe the Easter holiday? Mother's Day? If anything, Coach should give their BIGGEST discount on Mother's day... for everyone who IS a mother or HAS a mother

Ano ba Angel? Pare ko... you are very WISE to pass up the new Coach wristlet and instead buy a WHOLE new outfit on sale plus a less expensive wristlet for less than the price of just one little bag with a big name brand. Payless has some cute things, too. I would do the same as you with very trendy things that go out of style quickly: buy them on sale at stores like Old Navy or TJ Maxx or Marshall's (I've never been in Charlotte Russe).

I have to admit I buy a lot of my clothes at Costco or Sam's Club! Mainly because I stay out of the malls in order to avoid seeing beautiful people who are beautifully dressed and carrying beautiful purses and then me spending money I really should not have. Hey, we both stay home and don't have the luxury of buying designer items all the time, just a special treat now and then (around holidays and birthday for me).

But I also agree that it's worth saving and spending money on quality items that will last you for years to come, like a Coach bag that has a timeless style. Hopefully we'll soon get our free bags from that promotion...

Sorry for the tagalog everyone! You're right, Kitsch, it's a little rude. I don't get to speak/hear it very much since my dad remarried an American when I was 10 and only spoke in English from then on because my stepmom couldn't understand.

Here's the translation (Angel - please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm so rusty!)

Ano ba, pare ko - "What's happening, my friend?"

Natawa naman ako sayo - "You make me laugh so much"

Mabuhay - "Be well"

Kumusta ka ba "How are you?"
