Default Isabella Fiore Britta Handbags

Hello. I am new to this forum and am hoping you all might be able to help. I am trying to find out some information about Isabella Fiore's "Britta" style handbags.

To see an example of the Britta shape, use this Nieman's link:link.

There are a couple of designs that I like in the Britta style, but I can't find any in my local stores that carry Isabella Fiore. I'd really like to see one before I buy it online, but since I can't, I'll ask all of you!

My concern is that I HAVE to have purses that are carried on the shoulder. This particular style has a very short strap drop (8.5 inches to 9.5 inches according to different websites). I admittedly have chunky arms and I'm worried that it just won't fit comfortably on my shoulder because the straps are so close together.

Does anyone out there own a Britta and can you tell me how it fits your shoulder???

THANKS!

Glad to have you here! And what a gorgeous bag! I checked on other websites and I found it also on Adasa.com in black for $349.95, final sale. Can't tell if they're saying 9.5 inches (of total length or drop?) if you adjust the strap to the lower notch. I suggest trying to find a purse with a similar length and try it on.

Come to think of it, I read somewhere that when Coach started some limited testing of its "Ergo" bag, many women complained that the strap didn't fit comfortably on the shoulder, especially when wearing a coat. So Coach modified the Ergo design and made the strap longer. On the Coach site, you'll see that the smallest Ergo's handles are 17" with a 9" drop - and you can also see how it looks on the bag scaler (try this bag on button).

Hope this helps!

Hi Elaine!
Thanks for the response... As you mentioned, I am worried that it might fit comfortably during the summer, but when I have a sweater or coat on in the winter, it might not work. I have been to the Coach website before, but hadn't noticed the "try this bag on" feature. I wish all designers did that!

Unfortunately, I can't find a store in my area that has that exact style, so I can't test it myself. Guess I'll just have to take a tape measure and find somthing close!
