Metallic skirts and dresses, chic form-fitting coats with buttoned turtleneck necklines, sexy belted strapless dresses - there was lots to ogle at Monique Lhuillier’s New York fall ready-to-wear show. The look was vampy but well-put-together, with hints of Asian influences - think a James Bond femme fatale. As hip and sexy as her ruffled strapless dresses were, it was Lhullier’s breathtaking gowns that stole the show. Think sweeping columns of luxurious emerald and gold satin that are destined to be worn on Oscar night.
