Default Is there such a thing as a Fake Louis Vuitton Scarf?

Hi!

My sister-in-law has bid on this Louis Vuitton silk scarf on ebay. It seems real, but she is concerned it could be fake. Obviously people sell fake bags all the time, but is it possible to replicate a fake Louis Vuitton scarf, or could this one be real? Thanks!

Thanks kitsch k! Wow..I didn't realize that, and I don't think she did either. She's never been out of the country, and didn't know that about Asia. Is there a way she can tell from the picture if it's a fake or not? She wants to retract her bid,(there are other bidders, but lower than hers) but she's afraid ebay will suspend her account. I don't use ebay, so I am not familiar....

There is fake EVERYTHING.

If she wants to be safe...dont buy off ebay. That's my best advice.

I think that there are a good many things that you can get and will have wonderful value on Ebay. Many things too that you could not get anywhere else because they are rare now.

But you have to be careful. There are ratings for Ebay sellers, and seeing the feedback that a seller has can help a lot to avoid getting scammed.

Thanks everyone! My sister-in-law ended up being outbid. The price went up another $30.00 (it was already at like 85) so she let it go. I will pass on the info about checking out the seller's feedback... good to know! Thanks again

Glad that she got out of it in a less painful way. At least this way it wasn't her choice not to buy it.

I wouldn't get the Louis Vuitton scarf from eBay. There's a counterfeit for almost anything, especially for luxury goods.
