Default How Big is Too Big?

I know that huge bags are in at the moment. Sometimes, though, I swear that some people look like they will be swallowed up or dragged down by their baggage! How big is too big? Should a person's height/size factor into it at all?

I think that height is a definite factor. Bigger people would look silly carrying a micro bag.

But I think that a good guide would be that it is too big if you could live out of it for a week Lol, just my theory.

I think it matters on the individual and sense of style.

That Anna Corinna bag and even Chanel's giant bag are just utterly ridicuous. Just use a suitcase (with wheels) if you absolutely need to carry a lot of stuff.

But with regard to appropriate bag size, I agree that it's all about individuality and one's unique style. In addition, it's also about functionality - if you only need to have your license, one debit card, cash, cell, lipstick and keys then a little pouch size bag or wristlet is fine. Maybe there are some large women/men out there who don't have room in their pockets so they carry the smallest bag possible to fit their bare minimum necessities.

Then there's the folks who are busy all the time and need to carry around their lives - agenda/calendar/address book, large wallet and check book, a book or magazine, makeup to put on and food to snack on while riding a commuter train, laptop, work or school files - thus a large tote-size would be good.

Then there are the moms who want form and fashion. I think that's why little petite Reese carries around such a large bag - she's a mom and highly sought-after actress so she's probably toting many scripts, gym equipment as well as diapers, wipes, etc. Hmmm... scratch that about the diapers and wipes... she's so wealthy that she probably "has people" for that!

Also, I see a lot of these celebs being photographed with giant bags... but they appear to be either going to or coming from the gym/spa and so they need a designer gym bag that's a little snazzier than a standard duffle.
