Default Purses For Toddlers?

Can you recommend me a nice, simple, and not too expensive purse for my toddler to carry? She is obsessed with my bags and tries to carry them when we go out, but they drag on the floor and I don't want her to ruin them. So I need something small, snazzy and cute that she can have of her own!

my recommendation is ebay boutique sellers!! I have designed several little girl and mommy & me totes that match the boutique outfits that are sold on ebay ... like Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, etc. You could also get something custom made.

That's a great idea! I never even thought about a matching mummy and me set-we have other things that match so why not our bags?

I would recommend Juicy Couture bags. They make some smaller bags that are fun, youthful and appropiate for her age.

My little girl likes to play with her purses at home; she calls them her "surprise" bags and stuffs them with all sorts of toys, knicknack and of course her lip glosses. But when we go out, she really doesn't like to carry or wear them! Sometimes she will wear a backpack - you can try that. There are some really cute character backpacks (love the Hello Kitty one) in the Barnes and Noble kids' section. Or sometimes a cross body bag will work (an outfit of hers came with one). But as for the little handbags, forget it! I'd say keep it small so you can pick it up wherever she left it and put it into your own purse or stroller basket! And keep it inexpensive because if (or rather when) she loses it, say at the mall or park, then it won't be too heartbreaking for her but especially for you! Payless also has some cute little bags, too. And of course there's Gymboree in the mall where they have adorable bags that match adorable outfits AND shoes AND hair accessories AND socks or tights! but it's much more pricey. Let us know what you decide, britjojo!

I just got a really cute purse for my daughter at Nordstrom, it was $15.00, in a camo print of grey/white/pink and it can be worn cross-body, which is great, I don't have to worry about her loosing it and it's more comfortable for her to wear.

Well, we now have a tiny purse that a friend gave us for her to try out. She's turning two tomorrow, so I know there is every chance of her losing it, hence my not wanting to spend too much, or have it big enough for her to put much in, to also lose at the same time......
