Need some help...

I was at the goodwill store today with my mom and came upon some purses and the lady said this indian woman comes in to their store and told them these purses were authentic. I came across this LV purse. Can someone tell me if it's authentic or not? I've never bought a LV purse before so I wouldn't know.

I've seen that they have the denim with the red alligator skin for the handles. It's kind of cute. I figured if it's real I got a good deal on it. If it isn't then oh well.

It needs some cleaning up to it but it is cute. It's not something I would really carry myself. I'll probably sell it.

It does look cute, maybe an older style? Not sure if the zipper material matches the red leather trim, from what I can see in your pic. Louis Vuitton would know! You could probably also check through My Poupette.

I called the Louis Vuitton help desk and they told me they can't help me over the phone. I would have to take it to a LV store. I live in Maryland so there isn't a store near me.

You would think they could run the i.d.#on the bag.

You would think but the lady told me that they can't do it over the phone. Now, do LV bags have ID #'s in the bags?

Well it would seen they would try and help you.The frist pix we see there looks to be SL061 an the last two #looks to be86 or 89 not sure.Maybe someone that is in the the bags can help.I wish i could be more help to you.Did the persom tell you where there is aLV near you?

Ok do you have a mall or some shops in your city that would carrie LV?If so see if they can help you out.Or maybe the LV web site if they have a Q&A then just maybe they can be of help that way.

The closest place that carries LV is the LV store in New York. There is no where in Maryland that I can find that sells LV. Now the lady I spoke to at LV told me that real LV purses don't have an ID # in them. My friend has one and she has an ID # in hers and she got hers in New York.

I just don't know what to say.hehe I was hoping there would be some place close to you.I really thought they had the # in there. Have you tryed the LV web site yet? Just maybe they could help but not sure good luck.

That is wired you would think they would have a place for Q&A's but i guess not hope you did not pay alot.

my husband just looked at LV's website at the Q&A's and it says nothing. I was going to put it on ebay but ebay now has this thing that if someone sells a LV purse fake or not and ebay sees it even if you say you're not sure if it's fake or not you will lose your ebay account.

Kelli do you belong to eBay?If you do ,go to the discussion boards and go to the handbags.Someone on the handbag discussion board may be able to help you.Hope this helps.Oh and if the handbag discussion board cannot help try the vintage clothes and accessories board.There will always be someone there who has the answer you are looking for.

I am not sure where in Maryland you live, but there is a LV store in Mclean, VA near Tysons Corner. Tysons Corner Mall also sells LV (at the Neiman Marcus store there). I believe LV has a store in Chevy Chase, MD too. I have a speedy bag (got it from the LV store) and it has an ID #. Good luck!

hi kelli! imho, this bag is not authentic. the denim is much too dark and not distressed. i looked around for an authentic bag similiar to this, and i've attatched a picture. hope this helps!
