The fashion world said goodbye to an eccentric champion of designers Sunday night. Isabella Blow, whom, on the surface seemed like a larger-than-life madcap socialite with questionable millinery choices. Her husband, Detmar Blow said she passed away in the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in western England. She was reported to have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Those who knew her speak of her intelligence and eye for talent. Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, Stella Tennant and Sophie Dahl are just a few of her discoveries in the world of style. She worked in New York at Vogue under Anna Wintour and most recently, as an editor-at-large for Tatler Magazine in the UK.

i dont know exactly what she does but i always see her in vogue and in style sites on the internet..her quirky british style have always impressed me.

Ovarian cancer is a terrible disease. They can't detect it sometimes and it strikes some women as young as 40 and in their 50s. Vaginal sonograms aren't covered by insurance so a lot of women don't get them done, and they aren't that accurate anyways to detect it. They have a test called the CA-125 but that has a lot of false positives as well. A lot of research needs to be done for this, so this is a very good cause to donate to.
