Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas or Coach Signature?

Which style of bag ladies? I am torn between whether I am a Coach girl or a Louie one....of course my checkbook weeps either way haha.

My vote is for LV. I have a monogram Speedy 30, and I love it to pieces. I've had Coach before, and to me, LV is much more timeless/classic than Coach. A LV will look chic for years. I attached a picture of Audrey Hepburn with her Speedy

That's what I had heard, that the speedy was designed for her specifically. Not sure if it's true or not though.

You all know how I love Coach, but the LV Monogram Canvas is a very timeless, classic look and it would last you for years and years. My vote would be for the LV.

Audrey Hepburn was born in 1929, and from what I remember, the Speedy was introduced in 1933.

what makes you happy? i think both are good values: LV will be forever classic as well as classy, and Coach's designs are fun and the leather is quite remarkable. so i think you can be BOTH!

i happen to absolutely love chloe leather (it intoxicates me, i tell ya!), the designs are timeless (love paddington, now getting into edith!) and these bags are not easily recognizeable by my family, friends, co-workers and neighbors since they are all very purse-oblivious! when i carry my chloes, people just say, "nice bag." when i carried my Fendi (zuccchino fabric w/ F's), i'd always feel self-conscious when i'd get looks from other women, or i'd get bombarded with questions like, "how MUCH did that cost you?" and "is it REAL or FAKE?" grrrr...

LV for sure! Audry's pic always reminds me that they are timeless and they never go on sale! I love coach but what always bothered me was I would buy one then 6 months later find it at the outlet! that never happens with LV

This is a great point! This is something I really like about LV! Seeing things that I have bought at full price go on sale....argh!

Oh man these questions drive me NUTS!! I always think these horrible, catty things in my mind, but I'm not a confrontational person (especially over purses! That'd be so silly!), so I just say, "Yes, it's the real deal!" My response to the "How much did it cost?" question is, "Oh, too much!" I combine all of this with a big smile, and it usually deters any more questions. If I have people press any farther for price, I say "Oh...I really can't remember; If you really want to know, you can check eluxury.com, because I'm just not sure."
