Default Louis Vuitton Neverfull

How do y'all feel about the new Neverfull? I'm strangely drawn to it, but I think the straps look too thin. I love the way you can cinch in it, reminiscent of the Batignolles Horizontal or Vertical. It's very much casual chic to me...but are they too casual for the price tag? The price is very good for something of that size from LV (oh man, I know I have a problem when I say that purses priced from $575 to $665 are a good price!). It seems like it'd be an ideal beach bag, but my LVs will NEVER go near the beach, especially ones with vachetta!

I hear talk of a Damier version with slightly thicker straps coming in the fall and a Damier Azur version coming in early '08. I am a Damier FREAK, so I might be in trouble.

I like the thin straps. As long as they are durable, I like them quite a bit.

I wonder if they would dig into my shoulder if I put a lot of stuff in the purse...hmm. I wonder what the SA's at LV would say if I walked into the botique, holding a few weights (how crazy would I look?! haha!), saying I wanted to take a Neverfull for a test spin...They'd probably be like

I guess I could buy one and return it if the straps dug in too much....but I always hate returning things!

Hi Laura - welcome to tPP! Wow - I do like the LV Neverfull If I had the funds, I'd probably go with the biggest size and use it for toting anything since I'm a sahm of two little ones! It would also make a wonderful commuting tote for those who work in offices. Those straps can withstand a LOT of weight according to the LV site! As for the thin-ness of the straps - pro would be that they would stay on the shoulder nicely but con would be that they might indeed hurt if you wore a heavily packed bag without a coat or jacket as a buffer. I happen to have a Fendi Zucchino tote with thin straps that do stay put on my shoulders. I think I have a pic in my thread under "Display your collection." Which reminds me that I need to update that collection to include my Chloe collection!

I definitely fell in love with the price! It has been quite a while since they have had one this size for this price. They usually start around 700.00

I only have one Louis (speedy 500), but I've been thinking about getting a bigger one like the Neverfull to take to work each day. I bought the speedy 2 years ago, and I can definitely say that it was a great investment. I have used at least 3 days every week since I've had it and it is showing no signs of wear and tear. Well, except for the leather getting tanner, but I actually like that.

Oh, I did, I brought one when the local LV shop put them out. The handles are strong not weak. That is how I know it is a steal for an LV.
