Long Strap for Balenciaga

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to find a long handbag strap to use on my Balenciaga handbag - I have dark blue Bowling bag and Black Motorcycle bag. so either colour would be fab. So just wondered if this was something that can be purchased separately or is something you have to buy when buying the bag? any advice information welcome .. please x

Hi Claramcg! I'm not sure about this since I've never purchased a Balenciaga, but from what I've heard, the straps are not available to be purchased separately. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though...

Thanks for responding, I thought this might be the case. I've just seen a couple of pics (Nicole Richie of course) with the long straps and was intrigued..

What kind of Motorcycle bag is it? A City? A first? I think most of the Motorcycle bags should originally come with the longer strap.

I was just thinking...I'm not sure how Balenciaga handles repairs (or if they even do repairs?), but it seems logical that they would have extra straps in case a customer damaged hers and wanted a new one. It wouldn't hurt to call BalNY and ask! I know they have replacement tassels...so, why not replacement shoulder straps?

Some styles do not come with straps. A First, City, Part-time and Twiggy come with a detachable shoulder strap. The Day, Hobo, Bowling and Mini Bowling, Purse(discontinued) and Courier have a single attached top handle that has a long enough drop to allow for shoulder carrying. Straps are not, to my understanding, sold separately as replacements. Only the tassels are.

BTW, the reason why Nicole Ritchie's straps look unusually long are because quite a few of her Balenciagas are fake. She mixes them in with her authentic ones. Regardless, even her real bags look like they have long straps because of her thin, petite body frame.
