Wednesday, 1pm at Exit Art Gallery… Fashion Designer Jason Wu seems to have made this collection for the rebellious debutante in mind. The soundtrack was a great mix of bad girls who aren’t afraid to rock it hard. The dresses were a mix of flirty and full skirts with rough, edgy prints and colors. An urban palette of black, electric blue and mustard were contrasted with aged taupe in soft fabrics. While the silhouettes were classic, the stylic anc colors were not. Each outfit was paired with very high, shiny patent leather heels that were just too sexy to be ladylike, and that was exactly the point. This collection seemed destined to dress the Upper East side reluctant socialite who would show up to soirees with a tattoo and a sneer. There are plenty of more established and mainstream designers who can dress the good girls, at least there is one who caters to the rest. Jason Wu
