Do handbags make good gifts?

I wonder sometimes if handbags are too personal to give as gifts. I know that I like to pick out my own.

Maybe they can be good as gifts as long as you have a reallllly good idea of what someone will love

What do you think? Any purse gift nightmare stories?

Younger kids, they love all purses. Teenagers, stick with anything trendy! Beyond that, let them buy their own!

Only if you know who you are buying for. I bought a purse for someone who didn't even like it. I am very picky on who I buy purses for.

I usually by my mother hand bags for christmas, she loves them so thats the only reason why I buy them for her.

I've picked out a few for my grandma that she loved. As far as my mom goes, she's so happy with her LV Petit Noe that she hasn't used any other purse since...so I've given up on buying purses for her... As far as I go, certain brands are a safe bet.
