Default Issues with selling purses on eBay- ideas?

Hi everyone!

I had finally decided (after much delay) to finally buckle down and sell all of my Coach and Dooney bags on eBay. (I really don't like eBay so I had tried to sell them by word of mouth with little success- I have a baby on the way and have to sell all purses- except my LVs of course )

Well after listing them I get this email regarding one of the purses that says eBay has removed it because it was restricted. I was confused by this, so I emailed them to ask why. Of course they didn't give the specifics, but they did say that they removed it because it contained indicators that is was fradualent/fake. Now, one thing I can tell you- I don't have any fake bags. On top of it, I am not sure why they thought this because I provided pictures of the code on the inside of the bag and one of the things I do for anyone who buys a purse is I give them the original receipt from the Coach store in case they ever need it repaired or something. I even kept the tags that came with the bags originally! So I am confused why they would think this.

Being fed up with them I requested that eBay close my account. Does anyone know if there is any further action you have to take when they think you listed a fake bag? The only thing they did was they removed it and told me not to list it again. I just decided to close my account because I was fed up with them anyways.

Does anyone have any ideas on other ways to sell my bags?

Thanks!

Well ebay is the safest place to be able to check out the seller rep, but yes they are cracking down on designer bags really hard on there. Even though you rbags are real, they might just see certain words that you used to describe it and automatically remove it.

I think it has a lot to do with all the lawsuits they have been dealing with lately.

Someone else mentioned Craigslist, and that is a good idea. You can have the buyer and cash within a couple days. Just make sure you take cash and don't deal with any checks.

Good luck selling those bags.
