Default Do you let friends borrow your purses?

I have decided to stop the lending. I hate asking for my things back. The same goes for books and especially DVDs.

Do you loan out your purses?

I don't intentionally lend out my purses to anyone, but my sister borrows them all the time without my permission.

I hate it when she does and I am not always there to stop her, I get mad but she doesn't care. Need a padlock for my door to keep her out

Nope. I'd be scared to--I know how much I paid for mine and therefore take care of them almost obsessively. My friends have no idea, and I don't think they'd treat my purses as well as I do, lol!

Maybe you can start "borrowing" things of hers?

Sounds like most everyone has one trusted lending relationship. I guess I'm stingy!

That's why I don't like to lend things out whether they are purses, book, or clothes. I hate asking for things back because I believe if the person has borrowed them from you they should return it to you without you having to ask and in the same condition you gave it to them in.

I only share with family and even then we swap. That makes it fun.

purse should not be barrow because it is like a personal thing that only the owner should use.

Loan them your high end purse before you loan them your car. Trust me on this. You learn alot about someone when lending them something.

I don't lend my bags. I feel it is personal like underwear. I wouldn't borrow anyone else's bags either. Maybe my mom's Judith Lieberman clutch for a black tie event, but that is it.

I once lent a friend my black Chanel purse, and she didn't want to give it back! She kept avoiding me, and I had to ask her several days in a row and it got difficult...so never again. As far as family goes though, I would let my mom borrow my purses. Back when I lived at home, we would borrow each other's purses...miss those days! (I live on the opposite coast from her now) She had some great evening purses and classic Ralph Laurens that I loved.

Yeah, I think I would worry about a friend returning them, especially a casual friend.

I lost a really nice coat that way. Friends and I were going out to a club and I left my new guess coat in the car of our ride, didnt want it to get all stinky with smoke. Our ride took off halfway through the night and didnt say anything, leaving us all stranded and me without my coat. Sucked.
