Question Has anyone seen Eco-Deco bags?

I've recently heard of this trend where designers create new bags from 'renewed' fabric. There are a few on e-bay that look interesting although I'm not sure the pictures are good enough. The place is called The Green Phoenix and she has a Pendleton wool bag that the lining looks amazing on. I think most of the fabric is either from clothing or remnants of fabric. They claim that 'no two bags are alike', although a few have a Vera Bradley look to them. I am considering buying one if she has a color that I like. Anyone else heard of this trend?

Hadn't heard of them till now but it doesnt surprise me. Everyone is finding new ways to make everything eco friendly.

Thanks for letting me know though, going to go check them out and may even write a post about them in my blog.

Yes, purses, jewelry, just about anything reclaimed is very popular right now.

I've seen purses made from tarps, tires, plastic bottles, candy wrappers and reclaimed fabric.

Just search around for "green or eco-friendly purses"

Still havent seen these particular bags, but merdecat is right. Everything reclaimed is very popular.

I posted before about nahui ollin bags which I love, they are made from candy wrappers woven in traditional mayan style.
