could it be fake?

I bought a Versace black leather bag at an upscale resale shop. The logo is attached directly onto the purse. I have been looking at the pics of other Versace purses and it seems the logo is usually on a plate then on the purse. I hope this isn't a fake. It did have the bag with it. Could someone give me an opionion of it , please. Have you see other purses with the logo on like this!

Pretty sure when it comes to the purses, the name is always on a piece of hardware that is attached to the bag. Even if the only hardware is the badle it is on there. Post a picture.
