Default Purse Repairs

Has anyone ever taken their purse in to get fixed?

I have one where the zipper came off the track this week and I don't know how to fix it. Think the zipper would have to be entirely replaced.

I took it to my regular tailor and he didn't sound to confident about being able to fix it and was talking about sending it out. I would rather find someone who can do it themselves than have the purse passed around. I lost a gorgeous dress that way.

i sometimes repair my bags when they are slightly damage and still new but if it is heavily damage and kinda old looking i usually replace it with a new one.
