Default New Coach bag in April

So my husband is letting me get a new bag and I decided to get the Coach Carly Signature bag. Does anyone have this bag? Do you like it? Is it worth the money? I can't decide if I want the black or the brown. I'm also thinking of getting a matching wallet. Nothing too expensive but something that matches! haha

So what are your opinions on this bag?

I have the leather carly (medium sized one) in camel. Love it. It's beautiful. Heavy to carry is my only complaint.

Every time I go into the coach store, that's the only bag I go to.

I like the brown one only because I've never had a brown bag, but I can't find a matching wallet. I found something close to it on ebay I've been watching but I don't know. I can't wait for April to get here

I do too, but I went to the coach store and asked them about a matching wallet and apparently Coach never made the Carly bag to have a matching wallet.

Kelli i love the Carly bag.I love the Carly bag in brown because brown is my favorite color.
I wouldn't see why it would matter so much if your bag and wallet didn't exactly match...as long as you are happy, thats all that matters.

I was thinking that too, DianneK. But I'm such a weirdo that they have to match a little. I'm sure I'll find a wallet that matches it in some way. But I do like the brown bag a lot! And it looks so good in the stores I was putting it on my shoulder checking it out! I loved it!

Oh.. That's sad.. Did you find any other bag that has a matching wallet?

Red face Don't hate me but...

My New Yorker mom and I have always found these bold signature bags (made popular in the 80's by Gucci) tacky. Embossed signature bags are a bit more classy, if you love the design. You just don't see the rich and famous walking around with these, unless it's LV (and it's rare to see them with LV even).

I love Coach, but because of the high quality and their wonderful LEATHER. Most of their designs are very appealing.

I recommend saving the bold sig items for INSIDE bag items like a wallet you want to find in the dark depths.

All this being said, I did get a signature Coach collar for my shih tzu (designer dog as we call her), but more as a fun thing/joke

Sorry to spoil any fun ladies, but over $300 for this bag; you are paying for the NAME more than the BAG. Coach loves you for the advertisement though I'm sure

I think any genuine Coach bag is well worth the money. They are so incredibly well made and stylish, and they clean up beautifully.
