Default Shoes- should I get a pair of Manolos?

Hi ladies!

So basically the hubby has given me $700 to do with whatever I want in terms of shopping (mothers day gift). I just had a baby so I don’t want to buy any more clothes now since I havent lost all the weight yet. I do need more shoes for work, so I was considering getting a pair of Manolo Blahniks (I am a huge Sex and the City fan) – but I know I can get like 6 pair for the price of one of those. What do you think? What’s the hype with Manolo’s? Are they longer lasting, more comfortable?

Thanks ladies- sorry to post in handbag section, but I know you guys would know :-)

Hi CTL!

Manolos are an investment. Aside from purses, I have a large closet of shoes, with Manolos making up about 1/3 of it. For comfort when it comes to high heels, nothing beats a pair of Manolos.

I would definitely advise you to go to the boutique to try the shoes on. Manolos are consistent in sizing but if you're completely foreign to the european shoe sizing, it would be a mistake to order online.

$700 is plenty to spend on a pair of Manolos, though if it's your first pair, I would suggest something a little flirty but classic, like these:

Have fun shopping!

Thumbs up

When Considering A Pair Of Mb's Don't Try To Compare One Pair Of Them With Multiple Pairs Of Other "shoes". Mb's Are Not Shoes, They Are A Complete Luxury And A Great Way To Express Yourself. Be Warned - They Are Habit Forming. I Bought My First Pair Five Years Ago And Have Since Rid My Closet Of Everyhting Except Mb's (over 40 Pairs), Jc's And Cl's. Mb's Are By Far The Most Comfortable High Heels I Have. I Would Suggest Going With Your Insticnt And Buying Whatever Pair Catches Your Eye. I Would Suggest A 3 1/2 Inch Heel Or Less To Start. It's Fun To Buy Several Pair At A Time On Line (neiman Marcus Or Bergdof's) And Just Keep The Pair You Like Best.

Good Luck.
