Time to store those summer bags!

Hi Ladies, today is the first day of fall, so it’s time to store those summer bags and start looking for fall. If you love that summer bag as much the day you bought it, you might want to think twice before tossing it in the closet or hanging it on the back of a door. This month’s Allure magazine had an article on how to care for your handbags. In case you missed it, here are some quick tips suggestted for keeping your bags fabulous till next season rolls around.
* If your leather bag is looking a little grimy, carefully clean it with leather wipes made by Method.
* You should recondition leather handbags once a year. To do it yourself, pick up a conditioning oil called Lexol and gently message the oil on your bag.
* If your bag’s straps are broken or torn, the bag is not lost forever; take it to a cobbler, they are not just characters in fairy tales.
* When you are ready to store your bag, store it right. To help your bag keep its shape, fill it with acid-free tissue paper. Store your bag in a fabric pouch, away from intense heat. If you can’t find a fabric pouch, a pillow case will work great.

good advice. I would never want to have a collection of handbags without them being organized.

Default Great tips

Great tips for storing. Another idea is to put your old scarves or lingerie in the bags so that they do not loose their shape (especially if you do not have great closet sapce for handbags)
