My boyfriend and I are talking about getting a puppy. I want a Miniature Schnauzer and he wants a Chiauah (can't spell). Which breed do you think would be good...we want something small that will stay small and not shed too much.
actually it depends on ur personality...im personally biased against chihuahas because my friend had one and her dog was soooo possessive!!! she attacked me everytime her friend and i would hang out!! LOL
For a little dog chihuahas can be very aggressive, also with them if you live in the wrong climate it will be bad for them. They come from a warm region so they get cold very easily and they will get the shivers.
I have a yorkie poo. she's 6 years old and weighs about 4lbs. she hardly sheds and is VERY even tempered (even with a toddler in the house). Even though she's a mix of 2 high strung breeds, she's really quite calm. she doesn't bark unless someone is at the door and she keeps my feet really warm at night.
I know it's not one of the breeds you were considering, but I thought I'd throw it out there
