Default Do you dress your pets up?

Having 2 pretty big dogs, I don't have the chance to dress them up.

I think it would be so cute if I had a smaller dog, like a Pug or a Chinese hairless crested dog. They are so cute to begin with. I think I'm going to have to talk my husband into getting me one.

Do you dress your pets up?

I don't have a pet but if I am having a bad day, seeing a dog in a sweater always puts a smile on my face.

Default Oh yea, my dogs are fashion plates

I always dress my dogs up: Halloween costumes, holiday outfits, and at the very least, seasonal bandanas. There is nothing funnier than seeing a 70 pound dog in an argyle sweater!

They don't seem to mind, and it amuses me to no end. The only thing they don't like are things on their heads, and booties on their feet.

I do! I have three dogs and the funny thing is, the one who really REALLY likes to get dressed up's the only male one. He glomps me whenever he sees me holding doggie clothes

I just recently saw in Walmart where they had Disney style clothes for dogs. There was a Toy story outfit and a tinkerbell outfit. There were more but I can't remember what they were. However, I think that a small dog would look really cute.

Old Navy pretty decent (& cheap! yay!) dog clothes, too. Nothing fancy, though. Just human clothes for pets. My dog looks like a dad when he wears his. ^__^

Well everyone, I wanted to say that I got my puppy to dress up for Christmas! I ended up getting a Pug from my hubby. I named him AJ. He is adorable. The first thing I did was go out and buy him a sweater. It is SOOOO cute! If you have a small dog, it really is fun. He loves it!

I don't dress my pets. They just don't like it.
They can move less with clothes and it just feels weird for them. I really think it's sad, and it even can lead to behaviour problems. (of your dog)

Like agent_orange said, Old Navy has descent prices and cute clothes for dogs.

We have two pugs and they can't stand wearing clothes! My daughter will put baby clothes on the puppy, he'll be a year old later this month, and he'll wear them for about 10 minutes and then struggle to take them off.

Frankly I get really annoyed at people who dress their pets up for the heck of it. Now if you have a short haired dog, and need to put a sweater on in in extremely cold weather that is one thing.

Yes, my pets have lots of shirts at home. My mother loves buying those cute dog clothes from Old Navy! She thinks my dogs are her grandkids. Hehe. Too cute!

My smallest dog (about 20 lbs) has a lot of shirts, sweaters and dresses. When it's cold outside, she wants to wear one all the time. She refuses to go outside to do her business without a shirt of some kind on during the winter.

I don't have my own dog yet, but I want one so bad!

I want a little dog that I can dress up and bring everywhere with me!

You know what I've always wanted? I've always wanted to havea golden retriever, but a MINATURE one! Golden Retreivers are so cute when their babies, but they don't stay little! They grow so fast. =/
I mean their always cute, but I just adore them when their little puppies!

There's nothing more idiot than a dog with a dress or anything like that. It's a dog!
Each time I see one dressed or with colored ears I think about how ashamed the dog must feel. Don't make it look like a fool.
Showering it, brushing its hair yes but no stupid blanket or anything else. It can't be cold, it's got hair.

I love to dress ** pets up for Halloween. Unfortunately, not all four of them like it. ** favorite outfit is "Dracu-dog" with ** basenji-mix or chihuahua as dracula. They look so cute when the cape flies out from behind them as they jump off and on the couch. I don't make ** fox terrier dress up; it scares him. I haven't tried to dress up the dachshund yet. That will come this year. I do know that ** chihuahua LOVES to wear hats! I think she believes they are her crown and she is the queen. :-)

I have a small Beagle that is impossible to dress up. Two years ago I bought her a little Santa outfit for Christmas it was very cute and everybody thought she looked adorable. She however was not too happy with the situation, she ripped the costume off and out of loath shredded it. There went 20 dollars and she did not get a Christmas gift.

Default Yellow Lab won't wear sunglasses

I would really like to train my big yellow lab to wear sunglasses and a baseball hat but no chance. She'll do anything you ask...get the paper or whatever but no way she'll let anything stay on her head! If anyone has any ideas to train for hat & glasses I'd love to hear 'em.

I only dress up my babykins for function not for fashion...if its cold I'll dress my dog up in a tshirt, sweater or coat. She won't walk if I put booties on her paws...she won't even move she'll act like she's disabled...she hates booties! Don't get me wrong as much as I love fashion...I think it looks weird when people overly dress their dogs.
