Default Raised bowls for neck comfort

I bought my cat some ceramic bowls on an iron stand. They stand higher so he doesn't have to bend as far. I've heard this is better for them. Also, I don't think he liked drinking water from a plastic bowl.

Has anyone tried these?

I use ceramic bowls. My cat prefers the ceramic ones much more than plastic ones.
