Default Is your child nice to pets?

We have three dogs and a cat. We've had two of the dogs and the cat since before my 2 year old was born. Because he's always been around them, they get along pretty well. We recently added the third dog to the family, and while she is super sweet to him, he is sometimes mean to her. I don't know why! My son has never been as mean to the other dogs as he is to Snoopy (The new dog). Luckily, he seems to be getting used to her and being nice to her now. She is so sweet and puts up with so much from him. We are lucky!

Man, I wish my kids would be nice to our animals. We just got two kittens a couple of moths ago and boy are the kids ever terrorizing these poor babies. You would think after being picked up and squeezed for the 50th time the kittens would run, but no, they just lay there and let the kids terrorize them. I guess they may figure that eventually the kids will leave them alone.*What bothers me the most though, is my kids have always been around animals, but they have always bothered them.

Default My Cat

When we first got out former cat, Freddie, my son age 4 was thrilled. However, one day when I wasn't looking, he used his blunt school scissors and cut the cat's wiskers off. I have no idea what inspired him to do this. They did grow back and he had an excellent relationship with the cat for the next 14 years.
