Default How do your dogs ride in the car?

We go about 1100 miles one way every time we go visit our family. We always take our dogs, and usually our cat, too. When we go, our dogs wear seatbelt things and our cat's crate gets belted into the very back of our car, right with our luggage!

We're actually getting ready to leave (Tuesday!!) to go see our family, and it will be the first time that we take our newest dog, Snoopy, with us. She wore her seatbelt thing for the first time recently, and I think she will like it ok. It took a while for Blackie to get used to it, but Trixie liked it right away (Yes, I have 3 dogs that I cram into my Malibu Maxx with my 2 year old, my husband and myself!).

Trixie's is one that just has a short leash thing that hooks from her padded harness onto a seatbelt and then she rides in the floor board. The bigger dogs have harnesses that have a leash thing that plugs directly into the seatbelt latch.

Do your pets like car rides? Do they have seatbelts? If they do, do they like them?

My dad takes his dog in the car, I guess you have to have a sensible dog to do this though lol
