Derek Lam’s Violet Satchel - though it’s not really violet, it’s more of a creamy light brown - is a chic, modern bag that’s luxe without being over-the-the-top. Grained, pebbled leather is ruched at the bottom and boasts Lam’s signature gold ram hardware (inspired by his astrological sign, natch). Side-by-side zippers run under the bag to the side, and the gold chain straps have leather tops. The inside lining is suede, and the bag closes with a magnetic flap. It’s a nice, non-flashy day bag that’s made even hipper with the addition of the gold chain strap and ram logo.
