Paris Runway Report: Chanel Handbags
By: Erin D.
The first
handbag to emerge on
Chanel’s Paris ready-to-wear runway was a tweed red and blue plaid bag with fringe - in other words, a fashion monstrosity. Fortunately it wasn’t all a disaster - the label rebounded with a chic red
leather clutch that was very modern and covetable. More classic styles in black and red leather also appeared, along with some more appalling plaid numbers. There were also a few (silly, in my opinion) tiny and feathered
evening bags that could fit little more than a pot of lipgloss. I was disappointed to see a lack of the bigger quilted bags we all love, but that
sleek clutch was a nice replacement. Just lose the plaid and the fringe!
