Paris Runway Report: John Galliano Handbags
By: Erin D.
John Galliano always provides plenty of theatrics during his
fashion shows, and his
Paris ready-to-wear show proved to be no exception. Even the
handbags the models carried were mini works of art that might get better mileage in a museum than as a practical day bag. There was a dark red silk frame bag, a tiny and ornate mustard yellow purse, a somewhat matronly large brown arc-shaped bag, a surprisingly simple black envelope clutch, and a shapeless Mary Poppins-ish black bag with an unusual gold beaded handle. There wasn’t much that the average woman would have use for, save for a special event, but the handbags certainly weren’t boring.
