Dolce & Gabbana handbags? For their
Milan ready-to-wear show Dolce & Gabbana did what they do best - upped the sex factor - and delivered wild and totally luxe handbags that are sure to set fashionistas drooling. When the models weren’t wielding whips, they carried large - and I mean large - bags of animal print and animal skin. The bags were similar in tone to the ones shown at the D&G show, but somehow sexier and less kitschy - here vibrant patent leather was replaced by seductive black crocodile. The bags uniformly featured double leather handles and details like matching trim and front pockets. Two highlights were a slick lipstick-red patent leather bag that conjured all sorts of erotic connotations and a jaw-droppingly luxe gold crocodile bag that resembled a Siamese twin by appearing to be two bags fused at the center. Silver metallic leather also played a role, making the handbags some of the season’s most luxurious and covetable.
