handbags? Who knew? The evening gown extraordinaires did themselves proud with the handbags they showed at
New York City’s fall Fashion Week. And there were no overly cute sparkly cocktail bags that you might expect - instead, the designers showed hip, modern, and urban styles in black leather with rocker-style chain straps, light gray snakeskin, intriguing textured leather, and small evening bags with ornate gold frames. There were also tasseled black leather carry-alls, maroon velvet clutches, and one tiny but precious cream evening bag. Very elegant, very cool, and very surprising.
