Default Thomas Wylde Outlaw Canvas Bag

Thomas Wylde Outlaw Canvas Bag

By: Erin D.

I like Thomas Wylde, I really do. But this garish Outlaw Canvas Bag gives me a headache. Your choice of red or (ew) bone leather provides a backdrop for a canvas middle that’s printed with skulls (a recurring symbol in the Thomas Wylde line). Scarab-like brooches adorn the bottom of each leather strap of this square tote. It’s just too much - Elvira meets Ronald McDonald. The bag might have actually worked better if they’d gone all out with a black leather. But isn’t it about time this skull trend bit the dust?

$1,500 at Barneys

Default Disagree with Erin

This is a very cool bag
Its a good size for all your goodies
and it looks stunning in hand
Plus the quality of maufacture is excellent, the leather is buttery soft and evenly dyed (Balenciaga eat your heart out), stitching is perfectly spaced and lined, the metal highlights are solid, subtle yet noticable and well anchored. The dust bag is very cool as is the lining of the bag
Plus unlike the usual line of suspects (LV, Prada etc) its not being ripped off in its thousands in fake factories in China
If you own one of these you're marked as a person of distinction and taste - especially so if you can afford it
Unlike the aforementioned usual suspects you can't buy this on high streets all over the world and you won't see every second person with one (or a knock off of one)
And the skulls are very cool, very tasteful and very "in"
And its immediately apparent what bag this is without needing to search for a 'label'

Don't be a sheep
Decide for yourself but it has my vote as a bag that stands out from the fashion clones that are out there
If you're a fashionista who wants to build her own look rather than blending in with the 'crowd' you could do a lot with this bag

Hi Anselmo

I edited your post.
You can pick on me (Marco, the webmaster) all you want and you can post your disagreement with any reviews you wish. But I wont have my writers being personally "heckled".

Thank you
