Demure and understated: Not exactly what you’d expect from
Madonna. The Material Girl shows off a decidedly neutral side with
M by Madonna, her new collection of clothes and accessories for
H&M. Offering what she describes as “casual but naughty, sensible but sexy,” Madonna proves her design skills with a limited edition set of office-ready attire. The pieces transition easily to after hours, and fortunately they promise to stand the test of time (important, given the collection is a mite more expensive than the usual H&M fare).
Classic purses, like the soft black one seen here, complement nearly everything in the line. More striking bags, like the sharp, boxy silver evening clutch, are reminiscent of the diva’s recent return to her early roots. Like everything she creates, the M by Madonna collection is gold.
