Tacky goes by many a name, but for now I’ll simply call it Morgane - Louis Vuitton Morgane Polka Dots Fleurs, that is. Looking more like an art class project gone horribly wrong than a high-end handbag, Morgane is supposedly inspired by the magic of fairy tales. In other words, it’s meant to be whimsical, lighthearted, sweet, perhaps evoke a smile or a childhood memory. Instead, I wonder why LV wasted no less than 468 buttons on this catastrophe. Some buttons are stamped with the LV name, others simply look like they were picked up at K-Mart. They’re dotted haphazardly all over the bag, ostensibly to create some sort of shabby chic effect that simply does not work.
