Marni Oversized Wool Flannel Bag

Flannel is great when it comes to pajamas, but handbags? I’m not so sure. This Marni Oversized Wool Flannel Bag seems a little harsh and scratchy, and I like my handbags smooth, supple, and glamorous. The drab gray hue doesn’t help matters (I can’t help think about grandpas), and the funky embroidered image on the front is more Picasso than pretty. Also, I’m not sure why they would pair gray flannel with brown leather trim and shoulder strip - it totally clashes. Those with avant garde tastes might like this, but it’s just too matronly and harsh for my tastes.
