One of my favorite designers, Lauren Merkin, shows what she can do with a little plaid and a lot of creativity. Her Eve Plaid Silk Clutch is just the sweetest thing, boasting a pretty plaid print in rose, cream and brown silk. It’s nearly identical in shape to Merkin’s Louise clutch - both feature the same streamlined frame top and pleated front, as well as an interior zip compartment. It’s light and breezy, so it will be a great complement to a stylish spring and summer wardrobe. The plaid design plays a bit into the current madras trend, but promises to be more wearable. And it’s nice to see a dressed-down clutch that’s truly low-key. Available for $165 at Neiman Marcus.
