Calling Dr. Bombay… It’s much easier to appreciate this
Botkier Bombay Tall Hobo if you lose the garish (but, thankfully, detachable) beaded leather tassles that hang down the front. There, that’s MUCH better. Now you have a modern, urban brown Italian goatskin hobo that’s versatile enough for everday use. I especially like the seams that create a bit of texture, as well as the gold studs that dot the shoulder strap and the front of the
handbag. It’s in these gold studs where I see the Bombay (or Mumbai, more accurately) influence, as they remind me of bindis and sparkling layered bracelets that Indian women tend to wear. The rest of the bag is pure NYC.
