Okay, this MICHAEL Michael Kors Island Medium Tote might be suitable for a quick run to the beach, but this is Michael Kors, the king of breezy but upscale American contemporary women’s fashion - can’t he do better? This is actually a two-in-one nesting tote, so while the outside layer is clear plastic, the interior white nylon tote prevents anyone from seeing your unmentionables. I’m just not crazy about the black Michael Kors logo that covers the bag - the font is too typewriter-ish. It’s not upscale at all - just an excuse to show off a designer logo. It’s more Long Island than Capri. If you want to look like a superstar at the beach, I suggest sticking with a nice woven tote.
