While I normally adore all things Balenciaga, I’m not sold on the Bacon East-West Bag. Let’s forget about the name for a second. This bag is so flat, it looks more like a men’s travel bag than a chic handbag. It’s functional enough, with its dangling mirror, pockets and protective feet, but it’s so darn boring that it’s hard to really appreciate the fact that it’s actually beautifully crafted. That goes for any Balenciaga piece, though. I’ll pass on this yawn of a purse. Available for $956 at Bluefly.
