It’s tough to get excited about a bag that’s so hard on the eyes. In theory, the Fendi Mix Spot Hologram Bag sounds pretty darn cool. Spots? Cute. Holograms? So futuristic. And Fendi itself? Classic. How can you go wrong? Well, apparently it’s possible. A pale gray hologram print is the backdrop of this unusual piece. It’s splashed here and there with bright patent orange trim, which is hot but somehow seems out of place here. The beaded decoration running down the front and back looks a bit artificial, not at all in keeping with what we all know and love about Fendi. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work.
