I’m on the fence with regards to this Givenchy Patent Two Pocket Nightingale, which comes in your choice of black or brown. The wide, rectangular shape - accented with two front pockets, a detachable shoulder strap, and two leather handles - is both functional and striking, but I feel like it’s lost in the crinkled patent leather. I’d love to see how this style would work in a more traditional, less glaring patent leather or even in calfskin. As it is, I think the worn, shiny garbage bag effect overshadows the handbag’s smart design. Unless you’re in art school, in which case the funky look might be appreciated.
