Default Louis Vuitton Monogram Perforation Speedy 30 Bag

Louis Vuitton Monogram Perforation Speedy 30 Bag

By: Mariana L.

Let’s say you are an icon of fashion, a classic and tradional brand that represents upscale luxury to almost all-style savvy citizens of the world. That’s all well and good, but doesn’t sound Earth-shatteringly trendy or even modern does it? Louis Vuitton has managed the difficult feat of being both by maintaining their classic details, but having it re-interpreted every season by hot new createurs. Years ago, it was graffiti-influenced Marc Jacobs, then multi-colored Takashi Murakami designs. Now, we have the classic shape and brown/gold monogram print handbag treated with sporty, dot-matrix perforation patterns, with bright green or bright pink as a backing behind the holes. The construction is traditional, with luxury materials of kidskin and calf leather. While the handles are the tradional camel, some of the other leather trim is the matching brights of the linings. Will this Marc Jacobs re-invention be as iconic as its predecessors? You (and your wallets) can be the judge.

Actually, I think it was Stephen Sprouse who did the graffiti line for LV

The speedy came in orange as well.
